Andrea Ajurias

Andrea is an Associate at Rodriguez Lee LLP and she was called to the bar in 2021. She received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Bachelor of Social Work from York University. Andrea completed her articles at the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, practicing both family and immigration law.

Andrea’s social work experience has taught her to be an active listener and approach each client and case with empathy. Andrea seeks to provide every client with a custom approach to their matter and advocate for the best resolution. Andrea is committed to providing cost effective services and she encourages out of court options to minimize costs and resolve disputes efficiently.

Andrea has extensive advocacy skills appearing regularly before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and multiple Tribunals. Alongside litigation, Andrea is passionate about working with clients to settle issues through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. Andrea has significant experience in negotiating and preparing domestic contracts, including separation agreements, parenting plans, cohabitation agreements, and marriage contracts.

Andrea is passionate about access to justice and has worked at various community legal clinics including Osgoode’s Community and Legal Aid Service Programme, Parkdale Community Legal Services, West Toronto Community Legal Services, Scarborough Community Legal Services, and the Family Law Project providing a broad range of legal services to low-income communities. While at law school, Andrea formed Osgoode Latin American Students to create a community for Latinx law students and to encourage Latinx youth and undergraduate students to pursue careers in law. Andrea is currently a board member at Scarborough Community Legal Services.
